Celia, a student from our community in Guatemala, shares her inspiring story in Living the Confidence Code, a new book by @ClaireShipman and @KattyKay_ . We just added it to the Girls Opportunity Alliance reading guide—check it out here:

This brought a smile to my face—as do my memories of seeing @RoomtoRead’s work in Vietnam last year with the @GirlsAlliance. I'm so inspired by these girls and Room to Read’s efforts to ensure that the pandemic doesn’t derail their dreams of getting an education. ❤️

#TBT to last December when the @ObamaFoundation & @girlsalliance visited our @RoomtoRead Vietnam Girls' Education Program. 1 year later, we're still so grateful for this partnership & a couple of students wanted to send some kind words to @MichelleObama:
We ❤️ this message that the girls of @RoomtoRead shared to mark the one year anniversary of our visit with @MichelleObama to their program in Vietnam. Watch it here:

We broke the internet. For real. 🔥😱
Why? Bc women make up 26% of coders. If all the code we wrote totally vanished, the internet as we know it wouldn’t exist.
So, TL/DR let’s get more girls who code.

During Computer Science Education Week, @GirlsWhoCode gives us a glimpse of what the internet would look like without the code written by women around the world. Take a look—and then learn more about their work to close the gender gap in tech.
