I started having symptoms at 11 years old
I've spent months in the hospital when I was a teenager
In high school i either couldn't attend because my symptoms were too bad, or I had to use a wheelchair
I'm almost 21 and I need a cane everyday
Social media is a blessing,
The internet is a blessing,
But we never should have tried to replace affection, loyalty & compassion with a silicon valley canvas
Who did we miss?

I shouldn't have to struggle to find information, strategies, resources for ADHD or autism because all of them assume I'm the parent of an ADHD/autistic kid.
I shouldn't have suffered for unknown years with anxiety because nobody thought that the
weird feeling I'd get in my stomach would require sleep to reset from or how upset I'd get over things was anxiety because I was a kid.
I shouldn't have to expect to fight tooth and nail to get an autism diagnosis because I'm "too old" at 20.
